The core of Allen's set (12"-16" toms, bass, snare) contains pieces made in the late 1960s. The thin shells have deeper and darker quality than Tim's set. He slowly added to his 5-piece kit while maintaining his original drumset arrangement. Even the 1970s era Zildjian crash (left), ride (right), and hihat cymbals are in the same position. The older Ludwig mount hardware has been updated.
